Mumbra falls administratively under Thane Municipal Corporation. People of Mumbra come from diverse backgrounds from all over India. It is a multi-cultural place where people peacefully follow their own culture and religion. Though it is not a well-planned city but there are many buildings and apartments, Kausa is better then Mumbra as there are many new constructions coming in & therefore real estate prices are increasing there. There are many standard schools, colleges, and technical institutions. The literacy level of Mumbra-Kausa is 85% and many people are very well educated and working in reputed companies in India & abroad.
